Terms of Service
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of LumenMe, operated by BYC Ventures ("we", "us"). By connecting an account or using the assistant, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
2. The service
LumenMe is a private assistant, used through Telegram, that can read and summarize your email and calendar, prepare briefs and reminders, keep tasks and notes, and carry out actions in your connected accounts that you approve.
3. Access and eligibility
- LumenMe is available by invitation. We may accept or decline requests for access.
- You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms.
- Connect only accounts you own or are authorized to use. If you connect a work account, you confirm that your organization allows it.
- Keep your Telegram account secure, for example with two-step verification. Anyone who controls your Telegram account can use your assistant.
4. Your approvals
Actions that change something (sending or replying to email, saving drafts, marking email read, creating or changing calendar events, answering invites, and changing tasks or notes) are shown to you on an approval card before they happen.
You are responsible for what you approve. Read each card before tapping Approve. It shows the exact recipients, times and text that will be used. If you add an assistant, the actions they propose still require your approval.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use LumenMe to:
- send spam, harassment, or unlawful, fraudulent or misleading content;
- access accounts or data you are not authorized to access;
- interfere with, probe or bypass the security of the service; or
- break any law, or the terms of Google, Microsoft or Telegram.
6. Automated suggestions
LumenMe uses a language model to understand requests, summarize content and draft text. Its output can be incomplete or wrong. Summaries, briefs, priorities and drafts are suggestions. Check anything important against the original before relying on it.
7. Third-party services
LumenMe works with Google, Microsoft and Telegram. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, or for changes they make that affect LumenMe.
8. Your data
You keep all rights to your content. You give us permission to access and process it only as needed to provide LumenMe to you, as described in the privacy policy. You can disconnect your accounts and ask us to delete your data at any time.
9. Availability
LumenMe is in private use and may change, pause or stop without notice. Scheduled features, such as briefs and alerts, may be delayed or missed. Don't rely on LumenMe as your only way to track important deadlines.
10. Disclaimer
LumenMe is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, BYC Ventures is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of LumenMe. This includes the results of actions you approved. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for LumenMe in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if you paid nothing.
12. Ending use
You can stop using LumenMe at any time by disconnecting your accounts. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect the service or other users. On ending, we delete your data as described in the privacy policy.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, tell you in the assistant before they take effect. Continuing to use LumenMe after that means you accept the updated terms.
